DJI introduced the new quadrocopter DJI Mavic Air 2. Today, DJI is the top manufacturer of drones. Today, the company introduced a new quadrocopter – DJI Mavic Air 2.
Despite the compact form factor, it is able to offer customers excellent flight characteristics, as well as a wide range of functionality.
Mavic Air 2 is similar in design to its predecessors. However, it became a little heavier (570 g) and more. When folded, the dimensions of the new product are 18 × 9.7 × 8.4 cm. Basically, the mass of the drone has increased due to a larger battery (3500 mAh). However, the use of this battery allowed to increase the flight time of the copter. Thus, Mavic Air 2 is able to fly for 34 minutes, while its predecessor is designed for only 21 minutes of flight. In addition, the drone is able to move at a maximum speed of 68.4 km / h.
In the new quadrocopter, the improvements also affected the camera. As in previous models, it is installed on an active 3-axis suspension but received a new matrix with a resolution of 48 megapixels. Thanks to this, the DJI Mavic Air 2 is capable of recording video in 4K quality at 60 fps, as well as FullHD at 240 fps. In addition, this new product can record time-lapse video in 8K quality.
The quadrocopter received special sensors that are able to detect obstacles at a distance of up to 44 m at a speed of 12 m / s. Thanks to this, the drone is able to automatically stop in front of an obstacle or fly around it. Also, the new device is equipped with a sensor that helps it land in the dark and is located in its lower part.
It is worth saying that the new quadrocopter by default supports OcuSync 2.0. Thus, users will be able to use special DJI glasses without any additional settings. The novelty is equipped with an updated remote control with an ergonomic design, which is highly autonomous – 240 minutes.
