The info of greater than 2.5 million people was compromised in a current knowledge breach at expertise providers supplier Nelnet Servicing.

The impacted people have taken scholar loans from Edfinancial and OSLA, which have contracted Nelnet for numerous providers, together with a web based portal that scholar mortgage debtors can use to entry their accounts.

The providers supplier says menace actors gained entry to its techniques in June and maintained the unauthorized entry till July 22.
