TP-Link Deco P7 Mesh WiFi System. It is no longer possible to imagine a modern person without the Internet. And if earlier it was very expensive, slow, and not accessible to everyone, now it’s easier with this, as there is a wide choice of gadgets and providers that are improved every year.
So, the usual Wi-Fi routers are replaced by Mesh-systems. This is a complex of wireless modules that are installed in different rooms, and thus, at every point in the house there is access to the Internet at the same high speed. The main difference from the router is the absence of a multitude of wires and cables that can “break” over time, compactness and a good signal in any room.
A lot of companies are starting to produce Mesh-systems of different models and types. TP-Link in 2017 announced the release of a whole series of Deco, which included the model Deco M5 and Deco M5 Plus. The first option is represented by a middle class device that provides the wireless network. In the second case, an advanced analog is presented, in which a wireless Wi-Fi router and a Powerline adapter are bundled.
At the moment, the new model TP-Link Deco P7 has already been released, which we will now consider in more detail.

Design & Equipment TP Link Deco P7 Mesh Wifi
First of all, it is worth saying that there are two complete sets of this model – for 2 and 3 modules, depending on the area of the room and the expected result. We were sent a copy with three modules.
TP Link Deco P7 mesh wifi Everything is packed in a medium sized cardboard box. Packing material is quite dense, so worry about shipping damage is not worth it. The cover is made of high quality, legible font and clear images. Opening the lid, first of all, modules that are tightly fastened come across. Below them are the power supply units (the number directly depends on the number of modules) and the Ethernet RJ45 cable, instructions for use are also included.
The blocks are made in white and made of durable plastic. The mass of the component is large enough compared to other parts. The cable is tight, so that the risk of “wrinkles” is significantly reduced. mesh wifi Connector – USB Type-C.
If we talk about the appearance of the modules themselves, they are round in the classic white color. This color solution is chosen to combine with any interior design of the room. In the center of the module is the indicator light alert system status. The diameter is 12 cm, the height of the device is 4 cm mesh wifi. Thanks to such small dimensions, if desired, they can be easily hidden.
On the side are the RJ-45 and USB Type-C ports for transferring data (Powerline technology) and connecting the power supply. At the bottom are the legs, a label with technical data and a hole for ventilation.
Opportunities Mesh Wifi
The main advantage of this system is the ability to organize seamless coverage in rooms with a large area, without reducing the network bandwidth. This is possible with the help of special balancing of the Mesh-system when it is activated and reconfigured.
The modules communicate with each other, testing all available communication channels – Wi-Fi ranges, local area network, and electrical network. When the system finds the fastest signal paths, it automatically remembers them and uses them prior to deactivation. Thus, the speed of the signal is much higher than that of a standard router.
The first Mesh-systems were based exclusively on wireless channels, which led to a significant reduction in speed in remote areas of the room. They became unclaimed when systems appeared that use Wi-Fi nodes and twisted pair to communicate. Such a solution is considered much more efficient, while there is a problem with the rooms where it is impossible to stretch the Internet cable. TP-Link Deco P7 is the ideal solution for such cases. With the help of Powerline adapters, high-speed connection between network nodes without a network cable is possible.
It is worth remembering that even this system has its own nuances. For example, for communication between devices it is important to be on the same branch of the power cable. If it turned out that the devices are on different branches from the input of electricity into the room, then it is simply impossible to connect them with the power cable. This factor is important to consider when choosing a system.
As for speed performance, the Deco P7 is one of the best. It effectively distributes the Internet with ease, providing high-speed access to the network.

How to set up a TP-Link Deco P7 Mesh system
To configure, you must use the special application TP-Link Deco. It is available for iOS and Android platforms . The first configuration of additional modules is carried out fairly quickly, you just need to install the application and follow the step by step instructions.
The application allows you to update the firmware, connect additional modules (if necessary), view the list of devices that are connected to the system, manage the Parental Control function, etc.
