WhatsApp will double the limit for group calls. According to new data, WhatsApp has increased the limit on the number of participants in group calls, but this functionality is only available for the beta version of the application. It is worth adding that WhatsApp has already announced plans to increase the limit for group calls. According to WABetaInfo, in the beta version of the application, the limit on the number of participants in group calls has increased to 8 people. At the same time, at the moment in the official version of the application up to 4 users can participate in group calls simultaneously.

To start using the new functionality, all contacts must use the latest beta version of the WhatsApp application. To make a group audio or video call, you must click on the “New group call” button in the “Call” tab and select up to seven contacts from the list.

In addition to increasing the number of participants who can join an audio or video call, WhatsApp has implemented some more small but useful changes. The Call button, which is used in groups, now allows you to directly launch a call with group members. To do this, the group must have no more than 4 members Social media WhatsApp will double.

If in the group there are more than 4 participants, then you can select the necessary contact that you want to add to the group call immediately after pressing the call. All the changes mentioned above are currently available only in the beta version of the WhatsApp application (v.2.2.128) for Android. According to rumours, these improvements will be available to all users very soon.
